Sr. Organic Synthesis Chemist We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial-minded Sr. Organic Synthesis Chemist to join our team and help lead our synthesis research and scale-up activities. Providing strong technical leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing research aimed at improving the synthesis of our existing monomers and polymers, evaluating new synthesis pathways, supporting scale-up activities, and researching the synthesis of novel catechol containing monomers and polymers. M.S. in Organic Chemistry + 10 years experience or Ph.D. + 3 years experience required.
R&D Process and Production Engineer We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial-minded R&D Process and Production Engineer to join our team and help lead our scale-up activities. Providing strong technical leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for process planning and design, equipment specification, scale-up engineering, installation, and commissioning for first a pilot-scale facility followed by a commercial scale design. B.S. or M.S. of Chemical Engineering with 7+ years of experience plus previous experience with pilot-scale projects required. Experience with polymer synthesis and/or cGMP production is ideal.
Sr. Polymer/Adhesives Scientist (Biomedical Applications) We are seeking an experienced, innovative Polymer and/or Adhesives Scientist to lead research and product design/formulation for use of our materials in biomedical related applications. Providing strong technical leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading both independent company research and product design and managing joint research programs with partner institutions. Previous experience with research and product formulation/design for FDA-regulated applications is preferred. Ph.D. in Polymer Science or Chemistry with 2+ years postdoctoral experience required.
Research Associates We are seeking enthusiastic and entrepreneurial-minded Research Associates to support both our material synthesis and applications research. Working under the technical direction of our senior scientific staff, successful candidates will be primarily responsible for managing and conducting experiments in support of research programs. Successful candidates will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities will include everything from experimental design and preliminary research, through experiment execution, to data analysis, reporting, and presentation of experimental and program results and conclusions. B.S. in Sciences or Engineering required.
Bookkeeper/Office Administrator We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive bookkeeper and office administrator to help support activities across the entire organization. Working under the direction of the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of activities and projects supporting R&D, Sales, Finance, Production, and the executive team. Must have previous bookkeeping experience, knowledge of Sage50 preferred. Other activities could include purchasing and order management, project accounting, inventory management, and general office administration activities.
